P\u00e5 ett klarg\u00f6rande, sp\u00e4nnande och gripande s\u00e4tt v\u00e4ver han samman Chiles dramatiska historia med sina egna minnen. Med b\u00f6rjan vid tiden f\u00f6r kuppen ber\u00e4ttar han en historia om Chiles f\u00f6r\u00e4ndring, fram till idag. Resultatet har blivit en v\u00e4lskriven, engagerande och dramatisk historisk ber\u00e4ttelse om hur Chiles och Sveriges historia fl\u00e4tats in i varandra.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peter Winn<\/strong> \u00e4r professor i historia vid Tufts University i Boston. Hans specialomr\u00e5de \u00e4r latinamerikansk arbetarhistoria. He is the author of <em>Weavers of Revolution:  The Yarur Workers and  Chile&#8217;s Road to Socialism<\/em>, an oral history of Allende&#8217;s Chile, and <em>Americas:  The Changing Face of Latin America and the Caribbean<\/em>, and editor\/co-author of <em>Victims of the Chilean Miracle:  Workers and Neo-Liberalism in the Pinochet Era, 1973-2002<\/em>.  Winn is currently completing a book on the battle for historical memory of the traumatic recent past in post-dictatorship South America.  His 1973 Chile coup diary, &#8220;The Other 9\/11,&#8221; was published in <em>ReVista<\/em> (Harvard U., Spring 2004).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kjersti Bosdotter-priset instiftades<\/strong> av styrelsen f\u00f6r Arbetarr\u00f6relsens arkiv och bibliotek i december 2010 f\u00f6r att i samband med hennes pensionering tacka Kjersti Bosdotter, kulturombudsman vid IF Metall, f\u00f6r hennes m\u00e5ng\u00e5riga engagemang f\u00f6r institutionen. Peter Winn \u00e4r d\u00e4rmed den f\u00f6rste mottagaren av priset.
