An entangled history of economic citizenship and the  demand for equal pay 1945-2000.<\/strong><strong> Silke Neunsinger &amp; Ylva Waldemarson.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>In English:<\/h3>\n<p>The project focuses on the importance of international and transnational entanglements for the development of economic citizenship, i.e. national and international unions&#8217; demands for equal pay between 1945-2000. Earlier historical studies on equal pay are characterized by methodological nationalism. As a result the questions of why a state ratified the ILO convention or why unions decided to make equal pay a central demand at a given time, cannot be sufficient explained. To find adequate explanations one must focus on the interactions between national and global development. We therefore use the hermeneutical approach of Histoire crois\u00e9e, which contains both elements of comparative analysis and transfer analysis and focuses on the assimilation and adaptation of entanglements, but does not neglect the fractions and differences between different levels.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/arbark.se\/forskning\/projekt\/mind-the-gap-an-entangled-history-of-economic-citizenship-and-the-demand-for-equal-pay-1945-2000\">Read more about the project<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>P\u00e5 svenska:<\/h3>\n<p>Kravet p\u00e5 likal\u00f6n har en l\u00e5ng internationell historia och var tidigt ett konstituerande element i ILOs program. 1948 antog FN resolutionen om likal\u00f6n och 1953 antog ILO konvention 100 som idag ratificerats av 161 stater. Trots debattens globala karakt\u00e4r har likal\u00f6n utifr\u00e5n ett historiskt perspektiv n\u00e4stan uteslutande studerats p\u00e5 nationell niv\u00e5. Transnationell interaktion har uteslutits som f\u00f6rklaring vilket gjort det sv\u00e5rt att finna \u00f6vertygande f\u00f6rklaringar till varf\u00f6r de enskilda l\u00e4nderna ratificerade konventionen.
